I absolutely love going to the Zoo.
I've probably been to Zoos in 6 different states as well as in Canada but it never gets old for me. Maybe it's touristy but it's also really fun and a great way to spend a day, especially if you are with family.
One of the many stops we made in SoCal was to the San Diego Zoo. The San Diego Zoo is huge and they have tons and tons of animals. We were lucky enough to see vultures feeding, elephants getting pedicures and koalas eating among many other things.
I totally just want to hug that koala but I've been told they're pretty vicious? Can anyone confirm that? Koalas aside, My absolute favorite animal at the zoo though? Giraffes!
We saw soooo many different animals and they were all very active which made the trip extra fun for us and the 4 1/2 year old kiddo who joined us.
We ended the night at Point Loma where I had the strongest Mai Tai of my life then watched a beautiful sunset over the harbor. I'll be posting about all the places we ate & drank in San Diego soon.

Love going to the zoo although I have to admit it's been a while for me. :( I love the elephants, and the gorillas. Sometimes, if a zoo happens to have a special exhibition of whatever special, unique animal I'm hooked even more. :)
San Diego's always been my favorite, when we lived there we had season passes, it was amazing!
I love pandas and they are a big thing at the SD Zoo :) The last time I was there was for a college class - I had to watch the gorillas for 8 hours and write down everything they did...and it was raining. Not much fun lol! I need to go back though.

Awww, FUN! I just love zoos too! The koala looks so sweet in that picture! My family does this thing where we each "have" an animal (sister is a cat, mom is an elephant, dad is an owl) They've said that I'm a koala because I'm very nice and "cuddly" but don't eff with of else the claws come out :-) Looks like you had a blast!
I like zebras!
